Automated CNC Milling
This project connects an Intelitek ER-4u 5-axis robotic arm with an Intelitek ProLight 1000 CNC Mill, which I worked on with my friend Timothy Crowder. The arm takes a part to be milled from a gravity feeder, places it in the CNC mill, which uses a pneumatic vise to hold the part. After the arm moves out of the way of the mill, the CNC mill machines the part as programmed. The mill then moves into the position for the arm to retrieve the now machined part, which it then stacks in a designated output area. The process then repeats.
